Town- Wide Chip Seal
Prep work is starting Monday, Sept. 14th for the Town-wide chip seal project. The application will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 16th and is expected to be completed on Friday, Sept. 18th.
Street parking will be prohibited for the duration of this project on Long, Cothary, Hill, Short, Brierhill, Spruce, Oak, Ash, Alder, Cedar and Railroad. If your vehicle is completely off of the roadway, but still adjacent to the street, that is acceptable.
Construction hours are typically between 7am and 6pm. There may be a need to completely close some streets during the work. This should be less than 3 hours. The contractor's staff will be going door to door providing street-specific information where necessary. Signs referencing the planned work within town are being posted today.
Additional parking is available at the Wilkeson Fire Station (avoid Reserved spots), in the Wilkeson Downtown and at the Caboose which is VERY limited. As always, if there is an emergency, work will be stopped to allow EMS vehicles to access.
